And then there were two
We went for a walk to the dog park to discover a small and confused poodle/Maltese mix wondering by itself. He was all alone, slightly dirty and stinky but a diamond in the rough. It took me some time to bring owners attention to this injustice and make them realize that he should be taken home, fed, and given some rest. That was a week ago. Now Riley is happy, clean, well fed, manicured playmate for me. He doesn't know the rules of the house yet, but I'm giving him lessons whenever he steps over the boundaries.
Rules are very simple and fair:
- All treats belong to me. Even if they are given to both of us, but you are not fast enough to finish yours up - it becomes my property.
- All hidden treats are mine. If you take it - I will take it back (especially if has been marinated in the garden with some worms for a week).
- I get dibs on the pad for the night. You can have the other one
- I can nip and bite you if you don't behave, but don't bite me back as I don't like it and will stay away from you.
- If you don't finish up your food and the owners are not watching - it is mine. If you are eating and they are not watching - it is soooo mine and not yours!
That about sums it up.
Oh well, time for a nap....
