Dusting off the 100mm f2.8 Macro lens
Haven't used my Minolta 100mm f2.8 lens in a very long time and decided to give it some small exercise. Since I work full time and don't have much free time to go out and find an interesting subject, the most overused subject from the back yard will do - flowers!
TIP: When starting out, many people try to take macro or regular shots of the flowers, but make one simple mistake - they don't get close enough. So to make your subject just slighly more interesting, don't take a picture of the entire flower - frame a part of it.
This is not a masterpiece that will win a Pulitzer prize, but it will make a picture of the flower more interesting.

Self-criticism - More depth of field would benefit this shot to get all the drops in sharp focus.

Self-criticism - This one could use more accurate focus on the drop.
