Liquid Solution-Sof-T Tumbler - Neat and safe
I didn't think I would be writing a review for a cup on this site, but here it is. Just a week ago I've received a Sof-t tumbler cup by Loquid Solutions. So why the excitement? Well, the this tumbler is an inexpensive, neat tumbler what has a few properties that I would like to point out.
Sof-gel exterior with marine-grade stainless steel liner
When Liquid Solutions said it was soft they were right - the rubber has a very pleasant soft feel to it. But here is something you will not know even if you own the cup - the rubber is not smooth on the inside. It has quite a few little stubs pointing towards the metal. This does two things, first - it helps to maintain the temperature in the metal cup by creating an air pocket and lowering heat transfer rate. Second is that it makes rubber give slightly under your fingers when you hold it, improving the feel and creating an illusion of very soft rubber. The rubber exterior makes for an excellent grip on the cup and it won't sleep from your hand - dry or wet.

Metal cup is also well made, with no sharp edges or defects. It feels sturdy and should not loose the round shape even if some considerable pressure is applied. This will help the lid stay on the cup and not fall out in long term use. Because it is metal inside, if used without the lid - the liquid will cool faster than normal. However, if you put the lid on the cup - the beverage stays nice and hot (as in case with my tea) or cool (as in case with cold water from the fridge). As long as the cup is not abused, it should last a long while.
Dishwasher safe
Yes, this is small but important feature for all those who prefer to use dishwasher vs doing it by hand. Since the metal edge is wrapped onto itself and over the rubber - you won't need to take the rubber sleeve off (in fact, it is not supposed to come off).
Double-wall
Double wall construction helps insulation and will maintain beverage temperature longer than single wall containers (such as many plastic cups these days). Again, something you do want in a travel mug or tumbler that you take with you.

BPA-free
At first I didn't think much of the "BPA free" note, but then I've talked to my wife who explained why I should (she is a medical professional and knows more about these issues than I do). Apparently there has been more evidence suggesting that BPA in plastics may be linked to autism in kids. So obviously you would want to avoid it in all products. This cup is safe, so get it instead of a plastic one with BPA.
Unique patterns
Our cup features Origami Crane and Sakura patterns. I personally love the design and think it further helps to make the grip better with all of the groves and shapes indented in rubber.
This product feels nice in my hand and is a pleasure to use. Too bad my wife also really likes this cup for all the same reasons, so looks like we will have to share. The good - I can fit two standard straws into the opening in the lid, so looks like there will still be peace in our family.
Price: $14.80 on Amazon at the moment, which is reasonable. If you buy two - you will get free shipping (all orders over $25).
