My weekend

What a great weekend...... On Saturday I came back home to Poway from vacation in La Mesa. I tried to keep it low-key, but some paparazzi spotted me and shortly after people started showing up, trying to hug and squeeze me. To show me their appreciation they started BBQ-ing all kinds of delicacies, which of course I couldn't mind. I tried really hard to behave like a lady - be cute, smile a lot, show of my clean coat and make human females jealous of all the attention that I was getting.

Amid all of the festivities and my evening nap someone started exploding all kinds of colorful stars in the sky! I didn't approve of any such activity ahead of time, so I've barked at the stars until they stopped exploding and making all that noise. It was getting late and the humans had to go, so I could get some quiet sleep on a couch.

Sunday was also very good. Taking two of my humans to the beach so they could get some sun (they are so pale compared to me), play in the sand, smell the ocean and dig in the sand. But they didn't appreciate the effort and just sat there looking dazed and confused. Because they are so lazy, I had to run and play with other dogs while they watched me. Surf was up so I've cought a few waves and had good time. Humans on the other hand didn't even touch the water. In fact they had other humans in red outfits who sat in these towers on the beach and looked around to make sure people didn't go into the water.

After the beach I just had to get some rest in the sun so we went back to my place. I let my owners get into the pool, but of course I had to run around and make sure they were "OK". All work and no rest. When they calmed down I've found a good spot on the towel on top of chaise so I could nap some more.

These summer days is what I love the most...
